Does Sixpence have an API?

Yes. Every screen in the Sixpence app is a call to its JSON REST API, and a shop's own code can call the same endpoints with an API key made in Settings → API. Keys are scoped to one shop, can be read-only, and can be revoked at any time. The reference is published at usesixpence.com/openapi/v1.json.

Can I pull custom reports out of Sixpence?

Accepted Answer

Every report (sales, designers, by style, purchase orders, balances, prospects, commissions, inventory aging, tax, accounting, and more) answers as JSON or CSV with format=csv, so Excel, Power BI, or a script can read it with a key. There is also a one-click export of the whole shop as a zip of CSVs, one per table.

Can I connect Power BI or Excel to Sixpence?

Yes. Use Get Data → From Web → Advanced with a report URL ending in format=csv and an Authorization header of Bearer plus your API key. Refresh pulls fresh numbers.

Is there an API for a custom website?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A full-access key can create and update the day-to-day records (customers, appointments, sales, inventory) through the same endpoints the app uses, and the public booking, waitlist, and online rack endpoints need no key at all.

Can I get Sixpence data as plain tables for Excel, Power BI, or a script?

Accepted Answer

Yes. /api/data lists thirteen flat tables in the shop's words: brides, appointments, sales, payments, gowns, pieces, designer orders, designer payments, alterations, messages, designers, staff and stores. Every table takes the same query: a date range, any column as a filter, paging, and format=csv for the whole table. The dictionary at usesixpence.com/api/data describes every table and column, and designer orders carry what is owed to and paid to each designer.

Does Sixpence connect to Shopify?

Accepted Answer

One gown at a time, by choice. Settings → Bring your data → Pull from Shopify takes a product page from the shop's own website and creates or refreshes the style in Sixpence: designer, style, price, colorways, sizes, photos. It reads the public product page, so no Shopify login is needed. A full sync is deliberately not what it does: a Shopify store usually lists more than the floor carries, and the floor holds samples the store can't list.
